讲述了一个这样的故事：一天，Brown布朗的奶牛发现了一台旧打字机typewriter，于是乎，谷仓里传来了打字的声音——Brown布朗简直不敢相信自己的耳朵：奶牛竟然能打字！！！！

【绘本内容】
Farmer Brown has a problem. His cows like to type. All day long he hears

农民布朗有个问题。他的牛居然喜欢打字。他每天都能听到

Click，clack，moo. Click，clack，moo. Clickety，clack，moo.

喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞
At first ，he couldn’t belive his ears. Cows that type？

最初，他还不相信自己的耳朵。牛居然会打字？

Click，clack，moo. Click，clack，moo. Clickety，clack，moo.

喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞
Then he couldn’t belive his eyes. Dear Farmer Brown，The barn is very cold at night.

可紧接着，他又觉得是自己的眼睛出了毛病。亲爱的布朗，晚上的仓库非常的冷。

We’d like some electric blankets. Sincerely，The Cows

我们需要些电热毯。奶牛们敬上
It was bad enough the cows had found the old typewriter in the barn，now they wanted electric blankets！

这些奶牛在谷仓里翻出来一个旧打字机还不够，居然还想要电热毯！

“No way，”said Farmer Brown.“No electric blankets.”

“没门！”布朗嚷嚷着“我的谷仓不提供电热毯”

So the cows went on strike. They left a note on the barn door.

于是，奶牛们集体大罢工。他们在谷仓门口留了个字条，上面写着：

Sorry. We’re closed. No milk today.

不好意思，我们今天休息，所以今天没有牛奶。
“No milk today！”cried Farmer Brown. In the background，he heard the cows busy at work:

“今天没奶！”布朗惊叫。他又听到后院里传来了奶牛们打字的声音。

Click，clack，moo. Click，clack，moo. Clickety，clack，moo.

喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞
The next day，he got another note：Dear Farmer Brown，The hens are cold too.

第二天，他又收到了一个纸条: 亲爱的的布朗，母鸡们也很冷。

They ’d like the electric blankets. Sincerely, The Cows

它们也需要电热毯。奶牛们敬上。
The cows were growing impatient with the farmer. They left a new note on the barn door.

奶牛们等啊等，终于，对农场主失去了耐心，它们在谷仓门口留下了一 张新字条：

Closed. No milk. No eggs.

全面停业：没有奶，没有蛋

“No eggs！”cried Farmer Brown. In the backgroud he heard them.

“没有鸡蛋！”布朗大喊道。而且他又听到后院里传来奶牛们打字的声音。

Click，clack，moo. Click，clack，moo. Clickety，clack，moo.

喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞。喀哩，喀啦，哞“Cow that type. Hens on strike! Whoever heard of such a thing? How can I run a farm with no milk and no eggs!” Farmer Brown was furious.

“牛会打字，母鸡们罢工，谁还听说过这样的事情？如果没有鸡蛋和牛奶我还怎么开农场呢！”布朗火冒三丈。
Farmer Brown got out his own typewriter. Dear cows and Hens：

布朗拿出来自己的打字机。亲爱的奶牛们和母鸡们：

There will be no electric blankets. You are cows and hens. I demand milk and eggs.

没有电热毯。你们是奶牛和母鸡，理所应当给我牛奶和鸡蛋。

Sincerely，Farmer Brown

布朗敬上
Duck was a neutral party，so he brought the ultimatum to the cows.

鸭子作为一个中立派，带着这张最后通牒去见奶牛。
The cows held an emergency meeting. All the animals gathered around the barn to snoop，but none of them could understand Moo.

奶牛们开了一个紧急会议，农场里所有的动物都围在谷仓里探头探脑，可没有谁听得懂哞哞叫。

All night long，Farmer Brwon waited for an answer.

一整个晚上，布朗都在焦急地等着奶牛的回信。
Duck knocked on the door early the next morning. He handed Farmer Brown a note.

第二天一大早，鸭子敲响了农场主的家门，它递给布朗一张字条。

Dear Farmer Brown，We will exchange our typewriter for electric blankets.

亲爱的农场主：我们可以用旧打字机来交换电热毯。

Leave them outside the barn door and we will send Duck over with the typewriter.

请把电热毯放在谷仓门外，我们会让鸭子带走打字机。

Sincerely，The Cows

您的奶牛敬上
Farmer Brown decided this was a good deal.

布朗觉得，这倒是个不错的想法。

He left the blankets next to the barn door and waited for Duck to come with the typewriter.

他立刻在谷仓门外留下了电热毯，然后就等着鸭子带回那台打印机。
The next morning he got a note：Dear Farmer Brwon，

第二天早上，他接到了一张字条，上面写着：亲爱的农场主：

The pond is quite boring. We’d like a diving board.

住在池塘里面可真无聊，请送我们一块跳水板吧！
