《Noisy Nora好吵的萝拉》
萝拉是第二个孩子。姐姐大了，可以和爸爸一起读书、下棋、聊天。弟弟年纪小，妈妈要照顾她。谁来和萝拉玩呢。萝拉很生气，用力关上门、制作各种噪音，可是，还是没有人理她。“我要走咯”，萝拉打开门不见了。这下爸爸妈妈姐姐全都着急了，萝拉，到底去哪里了呢？

Jack had dinner early.

杰克先开始了晚餐。

Father played with Kate.

爸爸在与凯特玩儿。
Jack needed burping,

杰克要打嗝。

So Nora had to wait.

所以诺拉不得不等着。

First she banged the window.

她先撞窗户,
Then she slammed the door.

又关上了门,

Then she dropped her sister’s marbles on the kitchen floor.

然后她把妹妹的弹珠掉在了厨房的地板上。
“Quiet!” said her father.

“安静!”爸爸说。

“Hush!” said her mum.

“嘘!”妈妈说。

“Nora!” said her sister,

“诺拉!”姐姐说。

“Why are you so dumb?”

“你怎么这么傻?”
Jack had gotten filthy.

杰克变得脏脏的。

Mother cooked with Kate.

妈妈和凯特一起在做饭。
Jack needed drying off,so Nora had to wait.

杰克需要把身子擦干，所以诺拉不得不等着。

First she knocked the lamp down。

首先她把台灯撞到了。

Then she felled some chairs.

然后她碰翻了椅子。
Then she took her brother’s kite,and flew it down the stairs.

接着拿着弟弟的风筝让它飞下楼梯。
“Quiet!” said her father.

“安静!”爸爸说。

“Hush!” said her mum.

“嘘!”妈妈说。

“Nora!” said her sister,

“诺拉!”姐姐说，

“Why are you so dumb?”

“你怎么这么傻?“
Jack was getting sleepy.

杰克快要睡着了。

Father read with Kate.

爸爸和凯特在看书。
Jack needed singing to.

杰克要唱歌。

So Nora had to wait.

所以诺拉不得不等着。

“I’m leaving!” shouted Nora,

“我要离开!”诺拉大喊。

“And I’m never coming back!”

“而且我再也不要回来了!”
And they didn’t hear a sound.

然而他们什么也没听到。

But a tralala from Jack.

只听到了杰克发出来的“哗啦啦”的声音。

Father stopped his reading.

爸爸停止看书。

Mother stopped her song.

妈妈停止唱歌。
“Mercy!” said her sister,

“上帝保佑!”姐姐说，

“Something’s very wrong.”

“糟了！”

No Nora in the cellar.

诺拉不在地窖里。

No Nora in the tub.

诺拉不在浴缸里。
No Nora in the mailbox, or hiding in a shrub.

诺拉不在邮箱里,也没藏在灌木中。

“She’s left us!” moaned her mother.

“她离开了我们!”妈妈抱怨着。

As they sifted through the trash.

正当他们在垃圾堆里翻找时，
“But I’m back again!” said Nora

“但我又回来啦!”诺拉说。

With a monumental crash.

伴随着重重的撞击声。
